Had a lovely time in the club millesime. Sujeewa went above and beyond to make a lovely experience. Nothing was too much trouble. The food, service and drinks were lovely. The ambience was perfect. Good choice of nibbles. Starters delicious

The best hotel to stay in for Terminal 5 Heathrow. We couldn’t fault our stay. Room was really clean and the bed so comfortable. All the staff were attentive particularly Aartee at reception when checking in. A wonderful relaxing start to our holiday.

I’m at the property right now. I’ve stayed here for over 10 years, normally one night only. There is a definite change in the quality. Expectedly, rooms get older and need maintenance, but the room I am in has not been maintained. The staff has completely changed. Service standards have dropped significantly. It’s not horrible, but if you want to pretend this is a 5-star property, it is definitely not. I can’t speak to Elite treatment now as I am no longer Elite with Accor (Silver if that counts), but the front-desk attendant was a Trainee and not very good. Their new script is asking when your flight is and offering a paid upgrade… Breakfast, buffet only. They ask you to pay at the host stand upon entry. Coffee stand, pay before making the coffee and even clean the equipment before giving it to you. Housekeeping loud in the hallway, banging doors. Bar hosts and servers walk by when you enter and don’t acknowledge you. All of this is fine, but it’s not a Sofitel. It reminds me of the old Sofitel Miami - Cost-cut at all expense to consistent brand-standards. People are the biggest expense, and anything of quality costs more.

Just a flying visit

Stayed one night after a long drive prior to our early morning flight. Suite was very comfortable, they upgraded us free of charge. There were a few added extras like a TV in the bathroom although we couldn't get it working. We didn't eat at the hotel but went for a drink in their bar which is very relaxed and had a nice atmosphere. Elrica on the front desk was very helpful in getting us checked in and out.

Club milliseme lounge was superb. Lovely food and drink. Sujeewa and his colleague were very attentive and helpful. Will definitely upgrade to a club room when staying here in the future - would highly recommend for anyone flying from Heathrow T5
